Friends and Members,
This week our club and the Senior & Disabled Communities
lost a GIANT of a man.
Arthur Jackson was a longtime member of this Club serving on
our Executive Board.
Arthur served our City as the President of the Health
Commission and recently as the President of the Taxi Commission.
But, Arthur was also on the Boards of so many non-profit
agencies that provided a myriad of services to San Franciscans in need.
Although diminutive in physical height he was a GIANT of a
man.
Arthur was always available for counsel and help to all who
asked.
This world and our City are better places because Arthur was
here as are the lives of all that his kindness and thoughtfulness
touched.
There will be a Memorial Service in the Green Room of the
Veterans Memorial Building 401 Van Ness on April 30th at 2PM, all are
invited.
