July 15, 2010     Dear Members and Friends;   It is with great pleasure that I announce the revitalization of the FDR Democratic Club serving Seniors and Persons with Disabilities!   FDR Democratic Club was founded on the principle that everyone should have the right of representation and advocacy. Our past President worked closely with legislators and parties active within Democratic Party to facilitate the best possible information and addressed your concerns with panache and dogged determination.   It is my hope that we will continue to encourage our current members and inspire new members to keep our focus strong into the future. To that end, I charge the current vice presidents to get the word out that we are still an active and current PAC. Encourage new members to join and increase our voice with the Democratic Party.   We will have another focus because not only do we serve Seniors, we serve all persons with or caring for persons with Disabilities. We would like to engage caregivers of young disabled persons who are our future, to get involved and become active to ensure that their rights and concerns are always addressed.   As our membership grows, it is our hope that we will be able to participate with concerns of our nation and endorse and advocate for many candidates who will triumph our causes.   Please join me in a voter registration drive beginning August 1, 2010. Let’s register as many Democrats as possible for the election in November! Ask your family, friends or coworkers if they are registered. Keep some forms with you or direct them to the nearest post office.   Remember, everyone can be a member of FDR Democratic Club!
